AkzoNobel coating used on medical ship
A medical ship coated with AkzoNobel paint will deliver medical care to people living in remote Amazonia communities.
- The Forth Hope, operated by the Vine Trust, will deliver more than 2 million medical consultations over the next 20 years to isolated communities on the Peruvian Amazon.
- The ship will contain dental facilities, an operating theatre, consultation rooms and a pharmacy in which international medical and dental volunteers and local clinicians will help the isolated and vulnerable communities.
- Forth Hope was transformed into a medical ship and uses AkzoNobel’s marine coating to reduce fuel consumption and produce fewer emissions.
